Atlanta, GA (September 13, 2005) – eMag Solutions, a leading electronic discovery company, today announced that its MediaMerge/Tape Management System (MM/TMS) software is now available for purchase through EMC Corporation’s EMC Select Program. MM/TMS, a member of eMag’s award winning software suite, joins a prestigious group of best-in-class solutions as part of this program, which enables EMC customers to easily acquire the components of an end-to-end information lifecycle management (ILM) solution.

The addition of eMag’s MM/TMS to the EMC Select Program will enable EMC customers to migrate quickly, easily and non-disruptively from legacy backup software to EMC Legato NetWorker.

As information continues to expand in the data center – adding complexity and management issues – many organizations are looking to consolidate multiple backup software solutions by different vendors. However, in the past, organizations were remiss to move forward with this process because of the painstaking cost and procedures of ripping out and removing the legacy backup environment.

Using eMag’s software, customers can extract legacy backup catalogs and place them into a consolidated catalog repository for data restore. By consolidating backup software environments to EMC Legato NetWorker with the help of eMag’s software, customers can strengthen their overall data protection levels, reduce management costs and save money by allowing expensive maintenance contracts from other backup vendors to lapse.

“With the addition of eMag MM/TMS software to EMC Select, EMC continues to enhance the total customer experience by offering a wide range of high-quality products, enabling customers to get the most value from their information throughout its lifecycle,” said Kelly Polanski, vice president, product marketing, EMC Software Group. “eMag’s powerful capability will help customers – including those participating in EMC’s Safe Swap Program – realize savings on license, maintenance and services fees while enabling them to implement a more complete ILM solution.”

“Participation in the EMC Select Program further validates the strength of our industry leading software products,” said Brendan Sullivan, president of eMag Solutions. “We look forward to working with EMC to help their customers implement single source, end-to-end ILM solutions.”
