Windward Capital Concludes Purchase of Anacomp Magnetics Solutions
NEW YORK (June 10, 1999) – Windward Capital of New York announced today that it has concluded its purchase of Anacomp, Inc.’s Magnetics Solutions group. The name of the new company is eMag® Solutions. “We are pleased to welcome eMag to the Windward Capital group of companies,” said Gary Swenson, Windward Capital president and senior managing director.
“This company has an exciting future in the world of mainframe and network data storage media and services.”
eMag will focus on its core businesses in enterprise data storage media while actively pursuing growth targets in new and related products, services and network segments. President and CEO Gary Roth stated,
“Our mission is to continue providing mainframe customers with high quality products and services for their data storage needs. At the same time, trends in our industry favor us developing certain new products and services for these and other customers.”
eMag retains the well-known brand names of Memorex®, Dysan®, Graham® and StorageMaster® for its product lines. The company maintains sales offices around the globe and has a strong storage media and services presence in Europe as well as the United States. In addition, the new company will continue its current marketing, distribution and manufacturing partnerships with distinguished names in the computer and data storage industries.
